Ethereum Price Prediction: ETH To Hit $4,000 by End of January?

Ethereum (ETH) is one of the leading cryptocurrencies in the world, sitting just behind Bitcoin in market cap. The asset had a solid 2024, climbing 40% as the crypto market reached the global stage. In 2025, Ethereum is expected to continue rising in value, starting with gains this January.

According to a recent price prediction from CoinCodex, Ethereum price is expected to pick up as January progresses, leading to a potential 30% climb to $4,000. The analysts see Ether beginning its climb from consolidation around January 19. From that time onwards, ETH could see a boost of nearly 20% over the following days. Currently, the price prediction has the token hitting above $3,500 by January 30. However, by the first week of February, Ether may breach $4,200.

When Will Ethereum Return to $4,000?

A positive reinforcement for Ethereum coming between now and February could be enough to see the asset reach $4,000 before February. By the Spring though, ETH could be really set to blow. CoinCodex analysts projecting the asset reclaiming $4,000 in the coming weeks also say ETH has the potential to reach a price of $ 6,659.11 in the spring. Several crypto price predictions have the market flourishing between April and May 2025. Ethereum is the latest asset to benefit from one of these bullish projections, with analysts suggesting this to be one of the multiple instances of ETH hitting $6,000 in 2025.

Beyond the Spring, around September 2025, CoinCodex projects that ETH could reach a maximum of $ 6,420.84. This period will not be the peak of a surge though, as the asset’s price could top out at nearly $7,000 if all goes well for ETH. That sort of surge would be an over 100% ROI for investors who buy in at current prices.

Notably, Q1 is a historically strong period for Ethereum, according to past performances. January is a predominantly positive month for ETH, with two exceptions – deep drawdowns in 2019 and 2022. This month, ETH accrued losses of 3.42% so far, with the chance to change the score in the coming weeks. Furthermore, ETH also outperformed in Q1, often becoming the catalyst for another altcoin season. Altcoin season is already projected to come this Spring, therefore, the path may be already laid for Ether to start its surge later this month.
